POST Luxembourg takes part in Green Postal Day 2021

The 3rd Green Postal Day, taking place this Friday, September 17, is an opportunity for postal services worldwide to reaffirm their commitment to reducing their impact on the environment. 

In 2009, the world's leading postal operators launched one of the first industry-wide initiatives to reduce their carbon footprint. Eleven years later, in 2020, postal operators have replaced 22% of their fleet with alternative vehicles, and their share of energy from renewable sources already represents 33%. Today, they have made a joint commitment to replace 50% of their fleets with alternative vehicles and to use 75% renewable energy by 2030. 

POST Luxembourg, 12% of whose fleet is made up of alternative vehicles, aims to move to a 100% electric fleet over the next few years. POST's main contribution to the reduction of common CO2 emissions is currently manifested by the 100% green electricity from renewable sources in its buildings and data centers.
