POST Luxembourg celebrates HRH Prince Charles' 1st birthday with a series of exclusive stamps.

06 June 2021

On May 10, 2021, to mark the first birthday of HRH Prince Charles, POST Luxembourg is issuing a sheet of 8 stamps, an individual stamp and a stamped view card.

A special seal completes this exceptional series of philatelic souvenirs.

Created by photographers Sophie Margue and Céline Maia, the photographs of the 9 stamps retrace the first twelve months in the life of the Prince, born on May 10, 2020, at the Maternité Grande-Duchesse Charlotte in Luxembourg. He is the first son of LL.AA.RR. the Hereditary Grand Duke and the Hereditary Grand Duchess, and is second in the order of monarchic succession behind his father.

To enable philatelists, collectors and anyone interested to obtain an exclusive cancellation with the philatelic seal specially designed for this occasion, the POST Philately service will be present this Monday, May 10, 2021 at "Café Wëllem" (1, Rue de la Reine Luxembourg-Ville) from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, as well as at the Guichet Philatélique (13, rue Robert Stümper Luxembourg Cloche d'Or) from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm and from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

Please note that this event is being held in strict compliance with current health regulations.

This series of philatelic souvenirs is also available, from May 10, 2021, in the POST Philately online store - www.postphilately.lu and at the Guichet Philatélique.
