POST and LUXCONTROL join forces to create a Cyberscore label for companies

29 June 2023

POST and LUXCONTROL join forces to help small and medium sized Luxembourgish companies to evaluate and improve their posture against risks linked to cybersecurity and to meet increased information security requirements. Under the name of “Cyberscore”, this new evaluation and labelling tool will be officially launched in fall 2023.

The partnership to create Cyberscore draws to LUXCONTROL’s recognized experience in security risk management, analysis and auditing in the context of Luxembourg and European standards, as well as POST Luxembourg’s expertise in cybersecurity and ICT solutions.

International standards such as ISO/IEC 27001:2022 and the controls of the CIS - Center for Internet Security framework provide guidelines for the development of this assessment and labelling process, which covers 18 domains and over 90 control points. Based on an on-site assessment by LUXCONTROL, the company is awarded a Cyberscore ranging from A to E, accompanied by a detailed report indicating specific strengths and weaknesses.

A company that achieves Cyberscore A or B will be awarded the Cyberscore label, which demonstrates its maturity in this area, providing proof that the company meets the prescribed standards and is able to demonstrate this.

If a company fails to achieve a sufficiently high Cyberscore, the detailed report, with its many recommendations, enables it to draw up a cybersecurity action plan, giving it the opportunity to be supported by POST Luxembourg experts with a view to obtaining the label.
