Visit by HRH the Crown Prince to the Victor Buck Services production site in Foetz

03 March 2022

On Thursday March 3, 2022, Victor Buck Services (VBS) was honored to welcome His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, accompanied by Minister of the Economy Franz Fayot, for a tour of one of their sites. A 100% subsidiary of the POST Luxembourg Group, VBS specializes in the collection, management and secure distribution of information and data essential to commercial activities.

As part of the diversification of Victor Buck Services' (VBS) activities, Stéphanie Noël, CEO of VBS, welcomed HRH the Crown Prince and Minister of the Economy Franz Fayot on Thursday March 3, 2022, to the VBS site in Foetz, in the presence of Serge Allegrezza, Chairman of the Board of Directors of POST Luxembourg, Claude Strasser, Chairman of the Board of Directors of VBS and Managing Director of POST Luxembourg, and Jeannot Fürpass, Mayor of Mondercange. During the visit, VBS presented the development and prospects of its activities, and outlined the various stages of its new industrial printing activity for electronic antennas. The latter, based exclusively in Luxembourg, stands out for its innovative character and eco-responsible approach.

Since October 2021, Victor Buck Services has been offering RFID1 and NFC2 antennas under the "Joaneo" brand. Their entire production cycle has been studied to minimize their environmental impact, from the printing technique to the choice of recyclable substrates such as, among others, paper. Joaneo antennas are designed for a wide range of applications, including object authentication and traceability in sectors such as food, pharmaceuticals and healthcare, as well as logistics. As part of a local and sustainable approach, all production is carried out in Luxembourg, from design and prototyping to the printing of NFC and RFID antennas on the final media.

In his speech, the Minister of the Economy, Franz Fayot, welcomed POST's diversification strategy in general, and VBS’ in particular: "Innovation and digitalization contribute to economic progress. With this innovative new digital printing process, VBS has developed a concrete example of digital innovation that is more respectful of the environment. I'm delighted that the company has chosen the Foetz site to develop this new activity, which fits in perfectly with our economic development strategy towards a more sustainable and digital economy. Generally speaking, the POST Group also demonstrates its ability to adapt to the needs of its customers, and VBS shares this same dynamic."

Pierre Zimmer, Deputy managing director of POST Luxembourg and member of the VBS Board of Directors, added: "POST Group invests in innovation and particularly in digital solutions. VBS is the first company in Luxembourg to operate a production line for printing electronic circuits on paper. This innovative printing process enables POST Group to offer complete solutions for the healthcare sector, as well as for the protection of high-end products against falsification".

During the visit, Stéphanie Noël, CEO of Victor Buck Services, summed up: "Joaneo is a natural evolution for Victor Buck Services, which draws on 20 years' experience in printing to offer innovative printed electronic solutions for a booming market using RFID technology. Our fully customized production line, based in Luxembourg, is ready to meet the specific and demanding needs of our customers, who are increasingly concerned about reducing their environmental impact."
